While FunderHut promotes creativity and freedom of expression, we encourage all participants to respect each other and the community environment we foster.
Individuals may register for only one account. Once we approve a project, we require account holders to follow common sense behavior; as well as all applicable laws.
We will cancel the account of anyone engaging in harassing conduct that prohibits anyone’s use or enjoyment of our platform. Users are prohibited from posting any material that is onjectional, defamatory, obscene, sexually-explicit, fails to respect their privacy, or otherwise infringes the rights of others.
Any attempts to raise funds for any illegal organizations or individuals on the Specially Designated Nationals List is strictly prohibited and the proper authorities will be notified.
The manipulation of any computer code that contains corrupted data, viruses or files designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software, hardware or telecommunications equipment constitutes cause for account termination. This includes any automated use of the service using scripts, spiders, robots, etc. to post / distribute content; or otherwise communicate with FunderHut participants without their informed consent.
The FunderHut business model is designed to provide fixed and variable funding for approved projects in our sixteen themed categories; but does not allow commercial sales, contests, bartering, or advertising outside the project scope.
Offering any type of gambling material, tobacco products, any type of monetary return (including cash, securities, contracts, debt-repayment, etc.) as Kudos is strictly prohibited. Questions and concerns about Kudos offered should be sent to the Project Creator, who takes full responsibility for sending out Kudos. If Kudos have not been fulfilled, and multiple attempts have been made to contact the Project Creator, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please keep in mind contributions are nonrefundable (unless a Fixed project fails to reach its goal by the end of its campaign, then FunderHut refunds contributions in full) and FunderHut does not issue tax deductions. If a project is eligible for a tax deduction, that information and any applicable forms must come from the Project Creator. Questions regarding tax deductions should be directed to the Project Creator and/or your accountant.
FunderHut reserves the right to use a project, either current or past, in our marketing efforts and outreach.
Project Funders must use their best judgment when contributing to a campaign.
