We're here to help you fundraise, all we ask is that you follow some guidelines to help keep our community safe:
While FunderHut promotes creativity and freedom of expression, we
encourage all participants to respect each other and the community
environment we foster.
Individuals may register for only one account. Once we approve a
project, we require account holders to follow common sense behavior; as
well as all applicable laws.
We will cancel the account of anyone engaging in harassing conduct that
prohibits anyone's use or enjoyment of our platform. Users are
prohibited from posting any material that is onjectional, defamatory,
obscene, sexually-explicit, fails to respect their privacy, or otherwise
infringes the rights of others.
Any attempts to raise funds for any illegal organizations or
individuals on the Specially Designated Nationals List is strictly
prohibited and the proper authorities will be notified.
The manipulation of any computer code that contains corrupted data,
viruses or files designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the
functionality of any computer software, hardware or telecommunications
equipment constitutes cause for account termination. This includes any
automated use of the service using scripts, spiders, robots, etc. to
post / distribute content; or otherwise communicate with FunderHut
participants without their informed consent.
The FunderHut business model is designed to provide fixed and variable
funding for approved projects in our sixteen themed categories; but does
not allow commercial sales, contests, bartering, or advertising outside
the project scope.
Offering any type of gambling material, tobacco products, any type of
monetary return (including cash, securities, contracts, debt-repayment,
etc.) as Kudos is strictly prohibited. Questions and concerns about
Kudos offered should be sent to the Project Creator, who takes full
responsibility for sending out Kudos. If Kudos have not been fulfilled,
and multiple attempts have been made to contact the Project Creator,
Please keep in mind contributions are nonrefundable (unless a Fixed
project fails to reach its goal by the end of its campaign, then
FunderHut refunds contributions in full) and FunderHut does not issue
tax deductions. If a project is eligible for a tax deduction, that
information and any applicable forms must come from the Project Creator.
Questions regarding tax deductions should be directed to the Project
Creator and/or your accountant.
FunderHut reserves the right to use a project, either current or past, in our marketing efforts and outreach.
Project Funders must use their best judgment when contributing to a campaign.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us
We want to
thank our users for following the guidelines to make FunderHut a
welcoming place for everyone. As we continue to grow as a company, we'll
continue to adjust and readjust these guidelines to get them just
right. Happy funding!
